  • Epilepsy
  • Neuropathy
  • Chronic Pain
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Parkinson's Disease
  • Huntington's Disease
  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease
  • Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
  • Spinal Cord Injury with Spasticity
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Any condition where opioids could be prescribed

That severe debilitating or life threatening condition must also be accompanied by one or more of the following:
  • PTSD

If your doctor has already diagnosed you with any or the above life threatening conditions AND they are registered practitioner in the NYS Medical Marijuana Program then they can certify you for medical marijuana so that you may register.

However, if your doctor is NOT registered AND you have already been diagnosed then you can search the List of Registered Practitioners on the NYS Department of Health's website to find a doctor who is registered to certify you for the Medical Marijuana Program.

Once you are certified by a doctor, you must still Register with New York State by submitting an application on their website. If you do not have an NY.gov account you will need to create one. You will also be required to provide proof of your identity and residency along with a $50 application fee. (Currently the Department is waiving the fee for all patients.)

When your application is approved you will receive a NYS Medical Marijuana Registry ID in the mail. Awesome! Where do you go to get dank buds or wax?

Now you can happily go to any one of the NYS Registered Organization's Dispensing Facilities with your NYS Registry ID and buy some of that fire.

All of this information can be found on Form 1049 of the New York State's Department of Health's website.
